130 leaders of Catholic and Anglican religious congregations recently gathered in Melbourne to explore the theme of religious leadership.
The meeting was the annual national assembly of the Australian Conference of Leaders of Religious Institutes (ACLRI).
ACLRI President Brigidine Sr Margaret Cassidy said that issued addresed included the Bishops' research project on the participation of women in the Australian Catholic Church, ACLRI's involvement in the area of telecommunications, professional standards for clergy and religious, the impact of the GST, vocations ministry, the concerns of younger religious, and the involvement of religious in political ministry.
