UK    BISHOPS AGREE TO SIT IN REFORMED HOUSE OF LORDS
In a surprising about turn, the bishops of England and Wales have signalled their willingness to sit in a reformed House of Lords, subject to the approval of Rome.
In a submission last week to the Royal Commission on Lords' reform, the bishops said they were prepared to sit as the official representatives of the Catholic Church
The decision surprised observers as early indications suggested the bishops had ruled themselves out of the Lords in favour of lay representatives. But the 2,000-word submission makes it clear they intend to sit in the Lords themselves.
