Burma    CHURCH TO ADOPT INCULTURATION IN LITURGY
Participants in the first pastoral convention held by Loikaw diocese in eastern Myanmar agreed to adopt inculturation in liturgy and to develop their diocese as a grassroots Church.
UCA News reports the convention determined that the local Church should use local dialects in liturgical services, introduce indigenous dance, music and architecture, and adopt Eastern ways of showing reverence. Some 300 priests, religious and laity attended the meeting which cited Vatican II's stress on worship as an activity involving the whole community.
