Kosovo Crisis NATO BOMBS STOP CONVENT'S REFUGEE ASSISTANCE

Because of damage inflicted by NATO bombs, a monastery of Orthodox nuns in the neighbourhood of Rakoviza in Belgrade can no longer feed or house 16 refugee families from Bosnia and Krajna. This is according to a report of the Fides news agency.
Rakoviza, which has a population of 100,000, is one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Belgrade. The bombing destroyed two factories, leaving 5000 men without work. Two schools and kindergartens have also been damaged. In many families, one of the parents can no longer work because they are forced to stay home with the children who can no longer go to school because of the bombings.
