Young Marists in Asian immersion

After nearly a month travelling in India and Cambodia, 10 young Marists arrived back in Melbourne last week after observing first hand the work of their Order abroad.

While the group came from different backgrounds, they all shared the desire to see how Marists are working with the needy in South Asia.

Travelling with Vocations Coordinator Br Rod Thomson from Melbourne, the group began by visiting a variety of communities, as well as health and education projects the Marist Order in India and Cambodia are coordinating.

While in Cambodia the group stayed with the local Brothers in Phnom Penh and visited schools run by the Marists that have achieved fast-tracked learning for disabled local children,
