Cooking nun dreams up cakes in sleep
A nun, who had been dubbed Poland's best cook and sold more than 850,000 recipe books, has just released a DVD sharing her cooking tips.
Sr Anastazja Pustelnik, a member of the Daughters of Divine Love has said she dreams up recipes in her sleep.
Catholic News Service reports Sr Pustelnik said she never imagined the Jesuit priests in Krakow she spent years cooking for would published her recipes into several books.
"Many of my recipes are from other nuns and my family, but the best cake, A Nun's Secret came to me in a dream," Sr Pustelnik said.
"I made the cake in my sleep and when I woke up in the morning, I wrote it all down and then cooked it in the kitchen, and it turned out rather nicely."
The cooking nun said most of her cakes had been given their names by the hungry priest she cooked for.
One cake, a favourite, The Happy Mountaineer is noted for its high alcohol content.
