Pell awards grant to dental pulp cell researchers
Cardinal George Pell has announced the winner of the Sydney Archdiocese $100,000 grant to support adult stem cell research.
He named an Adelaide-based research team, led by Associate Professor Stan Gronthos and Dr Simon Koblar.
The grant will enable them to investigate use of stem cells derived from human dental pulp tissue, in the search for new treatments for people who have had a stroke.
