Baton change for WYD Journey of the Cross and Icon
After 150 days in 15 dioceses, the 2007 national Diocesan Journey of the Cross and Icon has concluded, with the objects now set to embark upon a gruelling Summer schedule of youth camps and conferences.
Having travelled more than 30,000 km with the JCI Team, the symbols of WYD will now be the "special guests" at a number of youth events and might even make it to Antarctica.
The JCI Blog says the possible detour to Antarctica would bring to life the WYD theme of witnessing 'to the ends of the earth.'
During these events, participants are invited to share stories and images of their time with the Cross and Icon via the WYD blog.
The JCI Team 2 begins in mid January and the national diocesan JCI Journey begins again on Australia Day (Jan 26) in the Diocese of Armidale, NSW.
