Missing Madeleine's desk ready

A British Catholic school has reserved a desk, coat peg, and locker for Madeleine McCann.

Madeleine is the four year old who disappeared while on vacation in Portugal with her parents earlier this year. The case subsequently received blanket media coverage.

Gail Neill heads the Bishop Ellis Primary School in Leicestershire. She told the London Daily Telegraph that students will say a prayer for Madeleine later today during a special school assembly.

"We are deeply saddened that we cannot yet welcome Madeleine," she said. "A place has been prepared for her, in exactly the same way as it has been for the other children."
