Not too late to move WYD: Cups King
Horse training legend Bart Cummings has again urged that the World Youth Day papal mass be moved from Randwick Racecourse to another venue.
In an interview with the Sydney Daily Telegraph on Saturday, Cummings said the Australian Jocked Club encouraged the Government to have the event at Randwick.
"Not a sod has been turned at Randwick so they should go elsewhere."
Meanwhile ThoroughbredNEWS reports that attitudes are hardening over the negotiations.
Randwick's trainers are prepared to suggest that if the plans for Warwick Farm and other venues are not approved by 31 August then they will not move from Randwick.
A stand-off could require the NSW state government to use legislation for the event to go ahead.
