Aussie couple wed underwater
Australian couple, Clint Bently and Tamara Little, who wore a traditional Vietnamese ao dai over her wetsuit, were married on Friday in an underwater Catholic ceremony off Vietnam's coast near the resort city of Nha Trang.
Thanh Nien reports that Bentley, 26, and his bride, Little, 24, were married before British Catholic priest Clive A Cagter.
The Vietnamese paper says several staff of the local Vinadive Centre, which co-organised the event, also dived into the sea along with the couple for the 15-minute ceremony.
The groom presented flowers to his bride and they exchanged rings. After the event, Tamara gushed: "It's so great to be married under the sea!"
Organised by Vietravel Company and Vinadive, the wedding took place off Hon Mun Island, 10km from Nha Trang town.
Nha Trang is a popular Vietnamese resort city known for its pristine beaches and excellent scuba diving.
