Glass ceiling shattered at church supplier
A Sydney woman, Ms Viviana Hood, has been appointed as the new CEO of parish and school supplies giant, Church Resources.
The appointment was announced by Mr Tom O'Brien, Chairman of the Board of Management of Church Resources.
"Ms Hood as been with Church Resources for six and a half years, having been involved in all areas of activity," Mr O'Brien said in a statement.
"Prior to Church Resources, Ms Hood worked as administrator in the fields of accountancy and the medical business, has run her own business and worked in human resources for a major corporation."
Mr O'Brien said "The Board is confident that Viviana will ably lead Church Resources in its next exciting phase of development."
Ms Hood says "I am delighted that I have been appointed to this new role within an organisation that I have seen grow and develop. I look forward to leading the Church Resources team to deliver ever-greater services to support the religious and non-profit sector."
Fr Michael Kelly, Founding CEO of Church Resources, will continue in his current role as Executive Director."
