Tasmania's Catholic education system to be remodelled
Tasmania's Catholic education system is to be revolutionised with a new government school curriculum.
The ABC in Tasmania is reporting that the state's Catholic Parents and Friends Group has been introduced to the Essential Learnings Framework at their annual conference at the weekend.
Tasmanian Catholic Education CEO Dan White said the curriculum has not been changed for more than a decade.
"One of the exciting things about the new religious education curriculum is that unlike curriculum's of previous years, that particularly focus on the content of the Catholic faith, this curriculum is going to build in very much the learning process and getting children to critically think about their faith which is very much in align with the essential learning's framework," he said.
