US Bishops' meet amidst continuing challenges
Coverage and comment is beginning to emerge in the media this morning from the US Catholic Bishops' Conference being held in St Louis, Missouri.
Reuters reports Cardinal Francis George of Chicago saying: "The bishops a year ago promised to do two things: to create a common policy on how this sin, this scandal, this crime is to be handled in every diocese. That's been done." Bishop Joseph Galante of Dallas added, "Our efforts have in a sense been overlooked and the fact that we did what we said we were going to do has been brushed aside."
