Vatican paper condemns Saudi terror bombing
The Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano has called Monday's terrorist bombing in Saudi Arabia a "ferocious offense against peace".
At least 29 people were killed in the blasts, which have been attributed to the Al Qaida terrorist group.
"The international community is called upon to find effective methods of confronting a ferocious terrorist strategy against peace, coming from several directions," L'Osservatore Romano said.
The paper sees the bombings as a response to the latest peace initiatives in the Middle East.
It said: "With each effort to renew dialogue with a view toward peace, the tension comes again, radicalising positions and preventing the signing of any durable peace."
