Vatican marks 150th anniversary of postal service
The Vatican yesterday issued a round stamp for the first time in its history to commemorate the 150th anniversary of papal stamps.
Depicting the interior of the Palazzo Madama, the current home of the Italian upper house of parliament and at the time, the main Vatican post office, the stamp will go on sale at different values of up to 1.03 euros.
A limited edition first-day cover will show St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican postal service announced.
