Archbishop Milingo expected to return to full ministry
A top Vatican official said he expected Zambian Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, who has been in an undisclosed location since reconciling with the church last year, to return to Italy and full ministry at the end of summer.
Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone, secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, said the African prelate was living outside Italy in a "community of prayer and religious life" with priests and a retired bishop.
"He is serene and happy, above all because of a regained peace of soul, and he is preparing for a return to full exercise of the sacred ministry," Archbishop Bertone said in a interview with 30 Days, an Italian Catholic magazine, that was to appear on newsstands in early June.
