UK Bishops to live on low pay for Lent


In the style of that great English writer, Eric Blair (George Orwell), who went and lived in poor houses to understand how "the other half live", a group of Anglican Bishops and other clergy are going to try and live on the minimum wage this Lent. About ten million people live on the minimum wage in Britain. The Church wants the minimum wage, which is now 4.10 an hour, to be increased to 5.80.
