Marist brothers, sisters to set priorities at Rome meetings
The four religious branches of the Marist family - Marist Missionary Sisters, Marist Sisters, Marist Brothers and Marist Fathers - will all meet in Rome next month.
The Catholic Weekly reports that the meetings provide an opportunity for these groups to set priorities for the next seven or eight years and to choose leadership teams that will inspire each group to further the mission of Jesus in today's world.
Australia will be represented by Ms Catherine Hannon, and Marist Missionary Sisters Christina MacLean, Noreen Dunne, Julienne-Maree Hayes-Smith and Jacinta Fidow, and Marist Sisters Julie Brand, Ann-Marie Webb and Vivienne Goldstein.
Marist Brothers Michael Hill, John Thompson, Neville Solomon, Charles Howard, Peter Rodney as well as Fathers Bill Ryder, Jim Carty and Ray Chapman will also be making the trip.
