Laity Committee announces logo design competition
The Committee for the Laity of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference has announced a competition to design a logo for its official communications.
Chairman Bishop Peter Connors said: "This lay mission is rooted in Baptism and it seems appropriate that a logo adopted by the Committee should reflect and embody the lay vocation by the use of some form of baptismal image."
The Committee's Mandate requires it to promote and encourage the mission and vocation of the laity in dialogue with lay leaders in dioceses, movements and other organisations.
In keeping with the Committee's ongoing dialogue with the laity, Bishop Connors is inviting lay leaders, organisations and other interested individuals to submit suggested designs for consideration by the Committee.
The selected entry will be eligible for a prize of $500. Two other prizes of $100 may also be awarded.
The competition brief and Conditions of Entry are listed on the Bishops Conference website.
