Indonesian envoys to brief Vatican on bombings
Indonesia has announced it's sending two cabinet ministers to the Vatican to brief Pope John Paul II on the wave of bombings that swept Indonesia on Christmas Eve.
18 people died and more than 100 others were injured in a coordinated series of attacks against Christian targets.
According to a government spokesman, the visit by Foreign Minister Alwi Shihab and Religious Affiars Minister Tolchah Hasan is aimed at reducing misunderstandings.
However, no date for the trip has yet been set.
The Holy Father expressed concerns over the bombings in his annual Christmas message.
