Distribution of new catechism passes one million
'I Believe', the small catechism published by Aid to the Church in Need, has become one of the most read religious books at the beginning of the millennium.
Earlier this month, the number of copies distributed passed the one million mark.
The work, which is published in 14 languages, including Arabic, Thai, and Albanian, is available worldwide.
'I Believe' has many illustrations, and is used by missionaries and parishes to teach catechism and for family pastoral care. It began to circulate in 1998 in Latin America, especially Brazil. Eventually, it was also promoted in Africa and Asia.
