New Chairman for National Catholic Education Commission
    The General Secretary of the Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference, Fr Brian V. Finnigan, has announced the decision of Conference to appoint Fr Tom Doyle as the new Chairman of the National Catholic Education Commission (NCEC).
    Fr Doyle succeeds Dr Peter Tannock as Chairman of NCEC.
    A priest in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, Fr Doyle is currently the Chairman and Executive Director of the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria. He has served as Deputy Chairman of the NCEC for many years and is a very experienced educator and administrator.
    The National Catholic Education Commission is responsible for formulating policy at the national level in respect to Catholic Education.
    Fr Tom Doyle has been appointed as Chairman for a four year term.
