US priest blasts churchgoer for Democrat sticker
A woman in her seventies has been reprimanded by her priest after sticking a pro-Democrat bumper sticker on her car.
The priest left a letter on Billy Ingrassia's car when she left it in the St Agnes Catholic Church car park to attend Mass in Arlington, Valmont.
Fr Thomas Vander Woude wrote: "If you support the Democrat position of abortion then you have no business receiving Holy Communion."
"I think it was not real polite to badger an old lady like me, but I don't think you can blame the church for that," Mrs Ingrassia told the Washington Post.
Linda Shovlain, communications director for the Arlington Diocese, admitted the letter goes too far, adding: "You cannot refuse the sacrements to somebody for having a sticker on the car."
