Italy    SHUT MOSQUES, SAYS CARDINAL
Cardinal Giacomo Biffi, Archbishop of Bologna, has said that no new mosques should be allowed to open in Italy as a "reciprocal" measure to those applied in some Islamic countries.
He called on the government to give Muslims living in Italy only the same rights as some Islamic countries allowed Christians. He said that in Islamic countries it was "impossible" to practise Christianity.
The cardinal recently caused a storm by saying Roman Catholic immigrants should be given preference over other religions.
