Germany    CIRCUS NAMED AFTER POPE JOHN XXIII
A circus in Cologne has been named 'Roncalli' after newly beatified Pope John XXIII.
Eliana Paul, the wife of the 24 year old founder of the circus, told the Zenit news agency that they named it after John XXIII because he had said that the circus is the only place where persons who are of different race, nation, and religion, work together to bring happiness to people.
She said: "He was so close to the people, so popular. He had great charisma, a figure that warmed the heart. He was also a Pope who loved the circus."
The added that they are planning a show next year dedicated specifically to John XXIII.
