|Mission||NEW AUSTRALIAN MISSION DIRECTOR TO ATTEND ROME CONGRESS|
Sydney priest Fr Terry Bell, who has just been named National Director of Catholic Mission, will represent Australia at the World Mission Congress in Rome next month.|
The four-day World Mission Congress has been organised by the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples as a Jubilee initiative and is expecting about 1350 representatives from over 100 countries.
Catholic Mission is the official mission aid agency of the Catholic Church in Australia. It provides practical, spiritual and emotional support to communities in 160 developing countries.
Fr Bell will commence his position on Monday 9 October replacing Fr Brian Brock who has been National Director for over 6 years. Fr Brock will return to his Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle to take up his next appointment.
