Indonesia    CATHOLIC YOUTHS URGED TO LEARN TO ACCEPT DIFFERENCES
A Catholic bishop has urged Indonesian Catholic youth to help create a "new world order" by learning to accept differences and respect people with different cultural and religious backgrounds.
Speaking at the close of a five-day Jubilee of the Year 2000 activity, Passionist Bishop Giulio Mencuccini of Sanggau called the 2000 youth participants to nourish the spirit of self-sacrifice and brotherhood for the sake of unity and solidarity.
"Learn to accept differences and to respect those of different religions, cultures, races, ethnic groups, and temperaments," said Bishop Mencuccini, whose diocese is in West Kalimantan province, in Indonesian Borneo.
The Italian bishop added that a new world order could be created only through mutual acceptance and mutual respect.
