Italy    HOLY FATHER PRAYS FOR PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
During his vacation in the Italian Alps, Pope John Paul II is praying every day for peace in the Mid East, and specially for the success of the talks taking place these days in Camp David.
The Pope's preoccupation with the Middle East was revealed by Holy See Press Director Joaquin Navarro-Valls, who is present with the Holy Father during his vacation.
Speaking to the press before the Angelus prayer at the Valley d'Aosta, where the Pope will remain until Saturday, Navarro-Valls also said the Holy Father is thinking about the next phases of the Great Jubilee, and his possible pilgrimages to Syria and Greece, following the route of the Apostle Paul.
