A study from has concluded that while 85% of Spaniards claim to be Catholics, more that 40% only go to Church for weddings, first communions, and funerals
During March, the Sociological Research Centre conducted 2500 interviews. 21.5% of those interviewed said they go to Church several times a year, and 13.5% said they go about once a month. In addition, 21% said they go to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of obligation, and close to 3% said they go several times during the week.
