Ecumenism    HISTORIC ANGLICAN-ROMAN CATHOLIC DIALOGUE SET FOR CANADA
Brisbane Archbishop John Bathersby will gather with Roman Catholic and Anglican bishops from thirteen regions around the world in Canada this month to assess the past 30 years of dialogue between the two churches
The meeting arises from a visit by the Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, to Pope John Paul II in December 1996.
Australian Bishop Edward Cassidy, President of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity, will co-chair the event near Toronto with Archbishop Carey.
