Zimbabwe    JESUITS MEDIATE IN LAND CONFLICT
Local Jesuits are reported to be acting as mediators in the conflict between white colonialists veterans of Zimabwe's war of independence.
Confirming the reports, a reliable source who wished to remain anonymous told the Rome-based MISNA news agency: "The focal point of a peaceful solution to the entire episode is the respect of laws and the just punishment of the attackers. The necessity of an equal redistribution of the land seems however to be out of the question."
David Stephens, a 50 year old white landowner, was killed in the conflict, over the weekend.
