Italy    MAN DIES IN HOLY WEEK RE-ENACTMENT
A young Italian man accidentally hanged himself in a village near Rome during Holy Week, as he re-enacted the suicide of Judas Iscariot during the Stations of the Cross.
Renato Di Paolo, 23, is thought to have either interpreted his chosen role "too keenly" throwing himself off a step with too much force or to have been the victim of a rope that was too short.
None of the estimated 700 people attending the re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross in the village of Camerata Nuova realised he was dead, until his body had dangled from a noose for nearly a quarter of an hour.
