|USA||ORDERS' WEBSITES DOUBLE IN TWO YEARS|
A research project dubbed "Holy Cyberspace" has found that the number of websites of religious congregations in the US roughly doubled in two years and will continue to grow rapidly in the near future.
Men's orders were more likely than women's orders to have a Web site.
The average site gets about 1000 hits a month and the order uses it mainly to communicate to a wider public and to recruit vocations, the study found.
The Commission on Religious Life and Ministry sponsored the study.
